The Real Story Behind The Bundy Ranch Harassment

Amid the standoff between Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy and the federal government, reports are growing that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s little-known ties to a Chinese solar energy giant could have played a role.

Reid, D-Nev., and his oldest son, Rory, a former chairman of the Clark County, Nev., County Commission, were both deeply involved in a plan by ENN Energy Group to build a huge solar farm in southern Nevada, according to a Reuters report from August 2012.

Dan Love, BLM Special Agent-in-Charge, assigned to the Bundy Ranch Standoff was secretly recorded, on April 10th, while on duty issuing threats to on-the-scene reporter Pete Santilli from Guerrilla Media who was also issuing threats of Citizen’s Arrest while seeking peaceful resolution and a de-escalation of the unfolding event.

The first voice you hear in this audio is of Pete Santilli asking, “Where’s the cattle?”

The next voice, the lower voice is of Dan Love from BLM. Some of the highlights of the recording, transcribed (this transcripted EDITED for length and continuity, listen to the actual audio if you want every single word).

Santilli: “We want zero conflict. You know, confrontational, nose to nose…” And then later, “Are we going to be here screaming at you, and you’re gonna be tasing, are you gonna do that type of confrontation. What we are trying to do is to completely de-escalate, 100%.”

Santilli: “What we’re going to ask for to de-escalate and to make sure we are not in confrontation with you… we want to let you know that we’re going to come here and it’s going to be non-negotiable what we believe in, and what we believe is the right thing to do.”

Dan Love: “We have two federal court orders, and if you interfere, you will be arrested. If you impede and interfere, you will be taken into custody.”

Santilli: “Tell DC Justice [Eric Holder] this is non-negotiable… but if you choose to go face to face and people get hurt, then we are going to hold you personally accountable.”

Dan Love: “And I will hold you legally accountable. And I guarantee that the Constitution is on my side and not that side… Your Constitutions aren’t decided on the dirt… you can fight that argument from jail.”

Santilli: “It’s not gonna be a fight, it’s gonna be a non-negotiable terms, peacefully. If you bring violence…”

Dan Love: “If you interfere, if you impede, you will be arrested. I don’t know how you plan on arresting me, but good luck with that.”

Santilli: “There are gonna be some law enforcement officials who are gonna be going to jail.”

Dan Love: “Yeah, don’t do that. That’s not gonna end well for ya. That doesn’t happen. And again, I’ve seen your numbers right now, you’d better hope that 10,000 show up…”

Dan Love: “You’re telling me you’re gonna show up and arrest officers? That’s not gonna happen, Mr. Santilli.”

Santilli: “If anyone is unconstitutional, is not following to abide by their oath to the U.S. Constitution, they are going to be arrested including the Sheriff of this county.”

Dan Love: “Okay, you start with him, go arrest Mr. Gillespie, and once you accomplish that you come back…”

Santilli: “He will be incarcerated if he fails to uphold his oath to the U.S. Constitution… he will go to jail.”

Dan Love: “I’m telling you right now I’m putting YOU on warning as the messenger, if you violate, if you impede, if you interfere with two lawful court orders, you will be prosecuted, you will be arrested.”

Santilli: “They are unlawful court orders…. I did not come here to do anything but to give you the opportunity to prevent a scenario where you’re going to make a decision to cause harm to people.”

Dan Love: “We’re lawfully here! Do you see all these signs? You’re in an enclosed area, you’re on federal land…”

Santilli: “It’s not federal land.”

Dan Love: “It is federal land. I am positive.”

Santilli: “I’ll bet you lunch.”

Dan Love: “Mr. Santilli, if you were right, I wouldn’t have a job. So you know what? Be right. Get it changed, and then I’m happy not to wear this little gold shield…”

Santilli: “Do you know how dangerous it is for you to run around with a gun and a badge with what you just told me?… That you actually believe that you have the Constitution, and the law behind you, and the entitlement and you have a badge and a gun?”

Dan Love: “If you come unlawfully, to impede or interfere, you will be arrested. Non-negotiable.”

The most interesting line might be:

“Non-Governmental Organizations have expressed concern that the regional mitigation strategy for the Dry Lake Solar Energy Zone utilizes Gold Butte as the location for offsite mitigation for impacts from solar development, and that those restoration activities are not durable with the presence of trespass cattle.”

The federal government’s story so far is that the whole showdown was necessary for the protection of gopher tortoises.

Here’s how The Blaze’s Dana Loesch puts it in “The Real Story of the Bundy Ranch”:

BLM has proven that they’ve a situational concern for the desert tortoise as they’ve had no problem waiving their rules concerning wind or solar power development. Clearly these developments have vastly affected a tortoise habitat more than a century-old, quasi-homesteading grazing area. If only Clive Bundy were a big Reid donor.

From the document purged from the BLM website, it’s clear there were more than tortoises at stake.

There was a $5 billion foreign energy project in the works, with Reid and his son directly involved.

And there was an American citizen and cattle rancher standing in the way.

Now, federal agents armed with guns and the full power of the federal government have engaged.

What could go wrong?

Invasion! DHS Source Tells Why Military Train in U.S. Cities: The Ultimate Conspiracy Theory or Something More?

A news article was sent to me earlier this week.  It appeared in the Beaufort Gazette.  The article stated that later this week about 150 Marines and Navy personnel will hold realistic urban training in Jasper County, South Carolina.

This was one of many joint military-local law enforcement exercises that had come to my attention in less than one month.  Held in cities across the U.S., they were becoming more common and more intense.  But why?  Why train in populated towns and cities where accidents could produce unnecessary casualties?

The Gazette further reported that the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit will train within Ridgeland town limits.  The times and exact locations for the training are not being announced, according to 2nd Lt. Gerard R. Farao.

A little background on the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (26th MEU).  It is one of seven Marine Expeditionary Units. A MEU is a Marine Air-Ground Task Force with a strength of about 2,200 personnel. The MEU consists of four major parts: a command element, a ground combat element, an aviation combat element, and a logistics element. The 26th MEU was establishment in the early 1970s and has deployed extensively, and participated in numerous combat and contingency operations.  The 26th MEU is based out of Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

I was once stationed at Camp Lejuene, NC.  As a Navy Corpsman, I helped care for Marines.  I tell you this because inevitably there will be those that assume I hold some anti-military motive.  Quite the contrary.  This writer is a Navy veteran, receiver of a Navy Commendation medal for lifesaving, Fleet Marine Force Expeditionary medal (2) and several letters of commendation – among other ribbons and medals.  I also spent time at Camp Lejuene.

At no time during my time there were “realistic urban training” exercises conducted in towns and cities.  This is a recent development.

According to 2nd Lt. Farao, and reported by the Gazette, residents will likely see and hear military vehicles and possibly see aircraft.  Farao states the training is part of a certification for deployment to Mediterranean and African shores.  Furthermore, he stated participants will be in uniform and carry weapons. Some exercises will take place at night and residents might hear “popping” sounds as Marines fire blanks.

The training has been coordinated with local, county and state agencies and officials, including the Ridgeland police and fire departments, according to a Marine Corps news release.

Although there is no danger, Farao said residents should stay away if they see training under way or uniformed personnel.

Realistic Urban Training is happening all over the U.S.  In Miami, Florida on January 26, 2013, Army Backhawk helicopters swooped through the city at night, firing door-guns and chasing make-believe bad guys like something out of an action movie.  The fired blanks echoed off of the buildings, scaring many residents into taking cover.  The local news reported excitedly about the exercise, stating it was only a drill and for residents not to be concerned. However, there was no journalistic follow up asking hard questions.  Such as, who authorized an exercise without informing the public?  Why conduct this type of training in a populated U.S. city and put citizens at risk?  Isn’t this a violation of Posse Comitatus?  No hard follow up questions were asked, and to my knowledge, have not been since.

Not even when the same exercise occurred in Houston, Texas on January 29, 2013.   The U.S. Army along with other agencies took over the Carnegie Vanguard High School in Houston on Monday. Alarmed residents called police and complained about gunshots and helicopters.  No details were provided about the training.  Watch the KTRK-TV Houston report and hear how alarmed residents responded after hearing gunshots and seeing military helicopters flying over their homes.

Wednesday, January 30, 2013.  The same types of exercises were conducted in Galveston, Texas.  The Houston Chronicle reported The training involved about 80 soldiers from the U.S. Army Special Operations Command in coordination with local law enforcement.  According to Sgt. 1st Class Michael Noggle, an Army spokesman based at Fort Bragg, N.C., “We were invited by the city of Galveston to conduct joint training exercises to enhance the effectiveness of both services in order to better protect the residents of Galveston.”

He went on to say in an email that “The purpose of the realistic urban training is to give our Special Operators an opportunity to hone their skills in a controlled, but unfamiliar, realistic urban environment that cannot be replicated with the bare-boned facades found on military installation ranges.”

I’ve highlighted a few examples, but there are more.  In a search I came upon these others.  Los Angeles, CA,  Plainville and Worchester, Massachusetts.  As reported in the other stories, residents were unaware of the drills until helicopters swooped over their neighborhoods. And here’s more: Minneapolis, MN, and this in East Saint Louis, MO.  There are many more, but these links provide a foundation for further research.

I spoke with a high-ranking, military source in DHS.   Preferring to remain unnamed for obvious reasons, he told me, “DHS and DOD are conducting desensitizing exercises all across the U.S.,” he paused, then added, “we’re being prepared for mass civil unrest in major U.S. cities.  DOD will be expected to help – when we’re requested.”

I asked if there was a timeline for expecting civil unrest in our cities and why should we expect it to begin with.  I was told that there were many reasons, but that the continued devaluation of our currency, the predicted history-setting prices for gasoline this summer and the continued gun control debate are forming a perfect storm of civil discontent.  When this storm hits, it will most assuredly produce mass casualties.  When does DHS expect this to happen?  This summer.

From a high-ranking source deep within DHS, who has strong DOD ties, we are being told that joint DOD-local law enforcement exercises are to desensitize us to military occupation.  When asked if there was any concern about violating Posse Comitatus, he stated “no concern at all,” and added, “That’s been a non-issue for a long time.”

Reuters recently reported Jesse Jackson’s request for armed TSA in the streets of Chicago.  Is it no longer a question of IF we see armed soldiers patrolling U.S. streets – but WHEN?  And notice the way most mainstream media presents these training exercises.  They are presented nearly like entertainment.  The ones approaching public service announcements mostly center on what areas to avoid because of traffic closures.

No major concerns about military patrolling our streets are being spoken in national dialogue. Those that do are assigned fringe status.  But in closing, I’d ask where do these training orders originate?  Who is responsible for issuing the orders and at what level in DOD/DHS do they originate from?  Since it crosses all military branches, we can assume it comes from the highest levels.  Perhaps we should begin asking our elected officials to dig a little deeper into the subject.  And if they will not, perhaps we – the People – should.

RUSH: Here’s Ron in Pennsville, New Jersey.  Ron, I’m glad you waited.  Welcome to the EIB Network.  Hello.

CALLER:  Thank you, sir.  What an honor to speak with you.

RUSH:  Thank you.

CALLER:  I want to talk with you about what I think is the strategy behind the left’s assault on religion.  What I was thinking is that it’s an assault on the Constitution, because the underpinnings of the Constitution are natural law and inalienable rights.

RUSH:  Let me ask you a question.  You seem like a well-informed and considerate person.  You’re thoughtful.  Would you explain to people what your definition of “natural law” is?  I happen to think a lot of people are confused when they hear natural law. “God? What do you mean, natural law?” How would you explain it to people?

CALLER:  I would explain it that as a human being, we are given certain rights and liberties by a Creator, and those are the natural laws that men and women are meant to be free and have as much liberty as possible. And the underpinning of the Constitution are that, natural law and the so-called inalienable rights.

RUSH:  That’s true, folks.  Natural law is the law that comes by virtue of creation, before any human dictator or whatever comes in and starts writing them.

CALLER: Exactly.

RUSH: And the yearning to be free and the right to be free is a God-given right.  You’re exactly right.  And the Constitution, the founders — you’re right — were heavily dependent on natural law. So your theory is that the attack on God is an attack on natural law.

CALLER:  If there is no God, there is no one to give us natural law and inalienable rights.

RUSH:  Right.  If there’s no God, there’s no natural law.  If there’s no God, there’s no normalcy. There’s no right or wrong.  It’s up to governments to decide it.

CALLER:  Morals would have to come from… I’m sorry.

RUSH:  No.  It’s up to people to decide themselves what right and wrong is. There’s no final arbiter or anything.

CALLER: Right.

RUSH: Except the Supreme Court.

CALLER:  And that would be government.

RUSH:  Right.  Government, Supreme Court or what have you. Well, I think you’re right.  The assault on God has been going on since before all of us were born.  God is a frightening thing to people who don’t believe. It’s scary. To people who don’t believe in God, it’s one of the scariest things they can contemplate, and they want to get rid of it.  It’s not something believers can prove.  It requires faith.  People don’t want to invest faith.

It just scares the hell out of them, and they don’t want to run around guilty all day.  They don’t want to feel guilty as they’re having “fun,” as they define it, so they say, “Just get rid of it,” and in the process of getting rid of God, you get rid of the country, get rid of the Constitution.  Ron here is exactly right about this. That would be a quasi-intellectual pursuit for just your average, run-of-the-mill, low-information, anti-religious person.

They just want to get rid of God because they are just uncomfortable with the whole idea.  To hell with the Constitution.  They don’t even know what that is.  Just the whole idea of God and morality and, “What the hell is it anybody’s right to impose that on me?  To hell with them!” Those people and their ignorance are, of course, used in the project.
